Hanging in the balance

Really silly to be obsessing over this, but it's me, so duh.

Scott and I have discussed that if Mordecai doesn't survive the arrows currently raining down upon him, there's always the Reincarnate option. Here's the possibilities of what body he could be reincarnated into.

The thing is, the point of choosing the races we did in Mosaic was to do something different. Hence, Mordecai is glimmerfolk. Bellos is tauran. Rashmali is benramen. Ka-Quindath is giant (Unearthed Arcana-style). While I can see the angst-opportunities inherent in waking up in a new body, I rather draw the line at kobold or troglodyte angst. I wonder if the location of casting reincarnate wouldn't affect it. I don't mean in a yuan-ti city. (NO!) I mean the proximity to Oubliette. I think a table of weird possibilites could be cool. Level-adjusted races, anyone? (Nah, I'm kidding about that. Probably too much loss of abilities, too complicated.)

It'll be fine.

Really.

PS: I counted up. Using the house rule of death occurring at Con+Level, Mordecai has 51 hit points left. I have to say, being a different race would most likely get any additional Inquisitors off his back…Surely…

2008 A List Apart survey

Yes, I do have work to do

But I can't resist just one more… And man, is it on target.

Your result for The Color Code Test…

Color Code: WHITE: The Peace Keeper

20% Red, 34% Blue, 40% White and 6% Yellow!

Here is the basics: For a more in depth analysis, I suggest you look up the Color Code, and take a more intensive test.

WHITE MOTIVE: PEACE
WHITE NEEDS: To feel good (inside), To be allowed their own space, To be respected, Tolerance.
WHITE WANTS: To withhold insecurities, Kindness, Independence, Contentment.

SUMMARY: Whites are motivated by peace. They will do almost anythign to avoid confrontation. They like to flow through life without hassle or discomfort. Feeling good is even more important to them then being good. Whites need kindness. They resent being scolded. They dislike harsh words. They open up instantly to people who are kind, but Whites recoil from those who are hostile. Whites prefer quiet strength. they enjoy thier quiet independence. This can often be percieved as bullheadedness. Whites like to keep a low profile. They like to be asked their opinions but they won't volunteer them. Whites are independent. Unlike Reds and Blues who want to control others, Whites seek only to avoid being controlled. They don't like to be pushed, and they can be fearsome when they finally “blow up.” Whites are motivated by other peoples desires. They want suggestions however, not demands.

I said, I like quizzes!

Yeah, here's another one. Hard to stop, really…

Your result for The Marvel or DC Test…

Crisis!

You are a well-balanced hero that would be a good fit in either universe. Much like the Dark Knight in the bright, sunny DC universe, or Doctor Strange in the technologically-advanced Marvel Universe, you provide an interesting counterpoint to the world around you. So pick a world and start saving it!

Steampunk!

I just love quizzes. Here's my result on the Steampunk Style Test:

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test…

The Explorer

39% Elegant, 34% Technological, 40% Historical, 76% Adventurous and 23% Playful!

You are the Explorer, the embodiment of steampunk’s adventuring spirit. For you, clothing should be rugged and reliable, and just as functional as it is attractive. You probably prefer khaki or leather, and your accessories are as likely to include weapons as technological gizmos. You probably wear boots and gloves, and maybe a pith helmet. Most of what you wear is functional, and if you happen to wear goggles people had better believe that you use them. In addition to Victorian exploration gear, your outfit probably includes little knickknacks from your various travels. Above all, you are a charming blend of rugged Victorian daring and exotic curiosity.

Your result for Test Who You Are in the Steampunk Ether City of Salmagundi…

Arcanist-Major Edmund Ras (the Sorcerer)

19% Cerys, 90% Ras, 37% Bell, 31% Wilde, 14% LeClerc, 13% Kendrick and 3% Fuzzy!

You are Arcanist-Major Edmund Ras of the Praxian Alliance, assigned as liaison to the Legion of Peace. You are a scholar, a scientist, and a sorcerer, in a city that distrusts the first two and despises the third. Though you are kind-hearted and concerned about the betterment of others, the hostility you routinely encounter has left you jaded and sardonic. You have a sharp tongue and a very dark sense of humor, and you delight in mocking those with irrational fears and prejudices. Your outlook on life teeters between the optimistic and the resigned, and you still can’t decide if humanity is worth the trouble. Still, even if humanity is doomed to self-destruction you are willing to risk your life to give it just one more generation.
