Frankincense: Gift of Kings

The next oil in the premium starter kit may be familiar to you, at least in name. It was one of the gifts given to the Christ Child, along with gold and myrrh, by the Magi. Its name comes from Medieval French for “real incense.” Frankincense has been used for healing purposes since ancient times. Indeed, it appears in one of the oldest known medical records, the Ebers Papyrus, dating from the 16th century B.C. Young Living’s oil is produced by steam-distilling resin from trees in Somalia.

When diffused, frankincense increases spiritual awareness, promotes meditation, improves attitude and uplifts spirits. When taken internally, frankincense supports your well-being and normal cell health.

Young Living gives these instructions for use:

Topical: Apply 2–4 drops directly to desired area. Dilution not required, except for the most sensitive skin. Use as needed.

Aromatic: Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily.

Internally: Put 2 drops in a capsule. Take 3 times daily.
